What is THE horizon Retreat?

we understand how vital it is to find community in college.

We want to provide students with the opportunity to connect with the local church, campus ministries, and other students to provide a source of lasting community and fellowship based on the truth of the gospel. During the retreat, there will be speaker sessions, worship, small group time, and fun games + activities. The retreat will launch students into their time in college by equipping them with foundational tools to help them grow spiritually for the rest of their lives while introducing them to friends before they even step foot on campus.

What to expect

So what happens at The Horizon Retreat? We are so glad you asked!

During The Horizon Retreat, you can expect to make close connections with other freshmen (as well as upperclassmen who have been in your shoes!), meet with the local ministries, and create a foundation within Christ as you begin your college journey. A typical day would look like hearing teachings from local pastors, participating in corporate worship, discussing and growing in the word with your small group, and playing camp-wide games between our different teams.

In addition, we will hold a ministry fair for you to interact face to face with staff, pastors, and students from the local churches and campus ministries. This allows campers to get a glimpse of how God is moving both on the campus and in the community and hear the passion for Jesus that this community has. On top of all the spiritual growth that’s going to occur, The Horizon Retreat is the best way to end your summer, and get PUMPED for your college experience to begin!
